But for some reason they killed KPL off and morphed it into Phrogram. It came with dozens of sample programs and could do both simple and complex things (for example, a really good pinball machine was one of the samples). KPL had the huge advantage that it was free and pretty amazing. It is free:Īnother big effort like this is Phrogram, formerly known as Kids Programming Language. Bigger effortsĪ friend recommended this educational system for programming robot simulations. Or type “Python for kids” into Google – there is lots of stuff out there. What if you want to teach your kids a “real” programming language? Python may be a good option to try because it is now fairly ubiquitous and it is easy to get started.
